therapy

Life is a great tapestry, I believe we all have the capacity to work through the issues presented to us in life, as we weave our many experiences together creating our magnum opus. The tapestry which tells the story of our life.

However, at times we may feel stuck, challenged, or in need of support. Sometimes having someone sit alongside us - as we unpick our tangled or knotted yarns, can allow us some degree of comfort. I know this has been important for me in my own journey.

I am interested in your experience, and how you experience and interact with the world. Working together we will explore your inner recesses and innerstanding, there are no rights or wrongs, no ‘fix you’ type solutions. We start where you are comfortable and work from there.

Therapy is a space to get curious about yourself, allowing you to find the end of the yarn to weave back into your tapestry, bringing you back towards yourself.

I sit alongside you in this exploration, holding the space open for you to unravel that which is needed. My approach is influenced by humanistic, existential, and psychoanalytic theory, however, in the room, your experience is what I feel is the most important.

“In our modern times, we have moved away from connection with our bodymind - in its true sense. Our busy lives lead us to develop poor postural and mental habits, which in turn develop into discomfort, distortion, and pain within the body and psyche.” Iysha Barrett
